Mark O’Connell discusses the lessons he’s learned in dealing at high levels wth all facets of the Atlanta business and donor communities. Among his many success, he draws on his experiences with the Regional Commission on Homelessness, United Way’s early learning initiative, the creation of the Atlanta AIDS Partnership Fund, handling the Boy Scouts, and more.
Under his leadership, the Atlanta chapter has raised over one billion dollars and pioneered the Community Impact approach that is being adopted by United Ways across the country. Financial World magazine honored United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta as one of the best run charities in America.

A Special Event at the Alliance Theatre
 "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," a Tony Award-Winning Musical
Tuesday, September 12
James Lapine ("Falsettos", "Sunday In the Park With George" and "Into the Woods" librettist) directed this musical that won two Tony Awards and is still in its original Broadway run. The Alliance Theatre is staging the national tour. AEN offers below-box-office prices on a limited number of seats for the September 12 performance.
